
Computer Infrastructure Support (CIS) provides central computing services and end-user support to the students, faculty, staff, retirees, and alumni of Illinois State University.
CIS is located in Julian Hall, across from the Alamo II. The main office is Julian Hall 154, which is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm. You can reach the main office by calling (309) 438-8800.
CIS Systems manages core electronic systems at Illinois State University, including ULID accounts, email, web hosting, Blackboard, Exchange, Active Directory, LDAP, WINS, Datastore, server backup, iCampus hardware infrastructure, uPrint, and ePO. Contact CIS Systems at help@illinoisstate.edu.
The University Computer Help Desk supports students, faculty, staff and retirees of the University, including PC and Mac support for personally-owned computers. The Help Desk resets ULID passwords, assists in ULID account issues, and provides walk-in and phone support. The Help Desk also maintains the BMC Service Desk Express (Magic) trouble ticket system. Located throughout campus, uLabs is comprised of five computer labs containing nearly 300 seats. CIS manages the operations of the Stevenson 250 complex, Schroeder 230, and the 2 residence hall labs in Watterson and the Vrooman Center. The Milner Library computer lab follows the same software and computing standards as the other uLabs.
CIS Workstation Support provides technical support to the offices of the president and provost.
